Uber VP: “we now reach 95% of Florida’s population”

Just as lobbyists for the ridesharing service Uber made their case for uniform regulations in Tallahassee this week, one of the company’s whiz kids was sharing the secrets of the uber-popular app back in his Florida hometown.  

“We’ve gone from three million trips a month to three million trips a day,” said Ed Baker, the company’s Vice President of Growth, at a luncheon sponsored by Jacksonville’s World Affairs Council on the JU Campus.

The Jacksonville native and 1997 Bolles School graduate has only been with the Bay Area-based Uber since 2013, landing there after a high-flying stint at Facebook.
